Activation state invalid

This may happen after an incomplete install/uninstall sequence - should be a very rare occurrence.

To clean up activation state, please follow these steps.

  1. Uninstall Ability Office
  2. Start REGEDIT (enter REGEDIT in the Windows search box)
  3. Navigate to and delete:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Ability 10.0
  4. Re-install Ability.

Note: 32 bit Windows does not have the WOW6432Node key so navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ability 10.0

Note: for earlier versions of Ability, navigate to appropriate version key i.e.:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Ability 8.0
or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Ability 7.0
