Printer not activated, error code - 30 when printing to PDF

Three possibilities:

  1. The Ability PDF printer driver cannot be used like a printer driver (actually, not allowed by our licensing terms). You cannot use File/Print and then select the Ability PDF driver from within Ability or any other program. To save as PDF, use File/Save As/PDF. This only applies to Ability.
  2. In general, the newest version of Ability is required with the latest version of Windows. If you have Windows 10, Ability Office 7 is required for Save As PDF to work.
  3. Ability is not installed correctly. Please try uninstall and then re-install.
