Can I password protect my files

Short answer: No, there is no password facility in Ability.

However, there are other ways of password protecting and securing data which offers greater protection than application controlled file passwords. Typically, they create encrypted "container" files that your operating system treats as a drive. Access to the drive itself is password controlled. Ability (as call all applications) can open, edit and save to these drives.

There are several available, but we have tested one in particular, TrueCrypt. A nice feature of TrueCrypt is that it is free!
