Windows installer error 1638

Simply means Ability is already installed. If you are installing an update, please uninstall your existing copy first.

To uninstall, type "add or remove" in the Windows search box (bottom left usually) and you should be offered the Add or remove programs control panel applet. Open up the applet and Ability Office will be in the list - click and uninstall.
